Massage Therapy

Massage is widely utilized for nourishing touch, relaxation, stress reduction and releasing muscular tension, spasms and knots. It also improves circulation and can help with adhesions, joint inflammation, pain, renewal of tissues, and the removal of both physical and energetic blockages. Techniques vary widely from very soft touch for lymph drainage therapy (which treats edema after removal of lymph nodes) to the widely enjoyed standard Swedish massage with smooth and flowing strokes. Deep Tissue massage is useful to break up stubborn areas of hardened tension and restructure postural imbalances. Chi Nei Tsang (abdominal massage) and Visceral Manipulation are additional techniques especially useful for treating individual organ systems and rebalancing body dynamics beyond just the muscular system.
